Zdanie podane (strona czynna) jest w czasie Present Simple. By poprawnie przekształcić je na stronę bierną, trzeba zachować ten sam czas.
"Is being played" jest formą właściwą dla strony biernej czasu Present Continuous. Jej użycie w tym wypadku jest błędem.

- am/are/is + III forma czasownika (Past Participle)
Strona bierna (Passive Voice) dla czasu Present Continuous:
