The device shown on the picture is called a drone. It's purpose is to shoot photos or film videos while hovering in the air, sometimes people just fly them for fun, it's still over all a pretty useful invention. This particular drone is coated in white paint with a pair of small red stripes on each side. Its stands allow it to balance on the ground, they also allow easier landing so that the device won't get damaged. The device is usually controlled by a remote, which isn't shown on the picture. The drone posseses four propellers that help lift the drone as well as let it hover mid-air, similar to how a dragonfly acts. The propellers can easily overheat due to the carried weight, that's why there are some holes visible on the sides of each wing. The're vents that cool the propellers down so that the heat doesn't damage the drone. The red button on top is the power on option, it boots up the entire device so it's ready to use. This one also has a small camera installed on the bottom of it, between the stands. Of course it's used to film videos or shoot pictures and such, and it does a great job at that, it's better than hand-held devices that require a tripod to stay still, moving them is a problem, that's why people use drones.
