My mother used to work for a rehab centre where drug addicts would undergo treatment to come off drugs. My mum would tell me stories about some of her patients and explained the reasons why all those people wanted was to get high in order to forget about their daily problems. She told me about their struggle to stay clean and start a new life. However, there were also stories about young people who took an overdose and died. My mum quit in the end. She couldn't stomach all of that.

Did you hear about the terrible accident in the centre today? It was a head-on collision. The paramedics came immediately to the scene of the crash. One of the drivers was taken to the emergency unit and is now in the operating theatre. The doctors say he's in a critical condition. The other driver miraculously survived. He was admitted to hospital, but he only suffered minor injuries, and is expected to make a full recovery. Luckily, there were no other casualties.
