It's lunch time at the Sylvia Young School in London. In the corridor students are playing the guitar and singing songs. The Sylvia Young School is a school for, 10 to 16 year olds, who want to work in film, theatre or music. It's a state-funded school. This means that the students don't have to pay to go there. The students study normal school subjects like English, maths, history, and science. But on Thursday and Friday they also study the performing arts: drama, dance and singing.
Some of the students perform in West End London theatres and on TV while they are at school. There are some famous ex-students including the singer Emma Bunton from the Spice Girls.
