Craig David was born in Southampton in England in 1981. He started DJing and singing when he was 14. In april, 2000 he had a UK number 1 hit as the youngest male in history. Sice then, he had won various music awards. He has also met Nelson Mandela and he recorded one of his song, Rise and Fall in Punjabi. He has been called the England's best singer by Sir Ethon John. He has also received a honorary Doctor of Music degree from the Southampton university in 2008, and he played many charity concerts and football matches.
