Stress is something that's usually really hard to cope with. It is often defined as the tension
that we feel when we have too many problems or worries. 7.1.
Sweating:
getting irritated; loss of appetite or eating too much; drinking or smoking more than usual;
feeling a "knot" in the stomach: all of these can be symptoms of stress. However, it is still
not proven that stress affects our health, but it is acknowledged to be one of the factors that
may lead to health problems or even serious illnesses. 7.2.
One of the best
stress management techniques is planning. 7.3.
You can also avoid stress by
thinking about things in a neutral or positive way or by using simple relaxation techniques,
such as deep breathing, exercising or doing something you really love doing. 7.4.
A. But how can we spot the signs of stress?
B. Taking a regular lunch break either at home or in a friendly location outside of work is
a possible solution.
C. But if none of these techniques work, seeing your doctor is highly advisable.
D. So the question is, how can we best reduce our levels of stress?
E. Try to organise your day carefully, always giving yourself some 'time out', which will help
you to chill out.
